Today marks a pivotal moment for us at juna.ai as we emerge from stealth mode, ready to unveil our mission to transform the manufacturing industry through AI-driven autonomous process control. Founded by industry veterans Matthias Auf der Mauer and Christian von Hardenberg, we are excited to share our vision and the strides we have made thus far.

At juna.ai, we are developing a new generation of AI-powered systems built from first principles to tackle the complex challenges of industrial manufacturing. Our technology goes beyond traditional automation by creating intelligent, self-learning systems that optimize industrial process control in real-time. This approach leads to increased production efficiency, reduced energy consumption, and a lower carbon footprint, reflecting our profound commitment to environmental sustainability.

The manufacturing sector is responsible for ~40% of the world's total energy consumption, contributing significantly to global carbon emissions. With rising energy prices, disrupted supply chains, geopolitical tensions, and increasing pressure to achieve net-zero emissions, manufacturers are facing unprecedented challenges. Additionally, the industry is grappling with a talent shortage, with 50% of jobs remaining unfilled.

Our solution addresses these critical issues by transforming complex facilities into autonomous operations that can adapt and optimize themselves. By leveraging advanced AI, we help manufacturers balance conflicting objectives such as maximizing output, reducing energy costs, and achieving sustainability goals.

We are thrilled to announce that we have raised $7.5 million in seed funding, led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from Norrsken VC and world-class business angels like John Doerr and ellipsis venture." This investment will accelerate the development and deployment of AI-enabled facilities, allowing us to expand our team and establish our new headquarters in Berlin.

"We’re thrilled to support Juna AI in their mission to revolutionize the manufacturing industry," said Josh Coyne, partner at Kleiner Perkins. "Their innovative approach to agentic process control addresses some of the most pressing challenges facing manufacturers today, from energy efficiency to talent shortages."

Our technology is applicable across a wide range of industries, including chemical, steel, paper, cement, textile, and food processing. We have already deployed our solutions with early customers, demonstrating real-world effectiveness and tangible savings.

We are actively hiring across multiple tech roles and invite passionate individuals to join us on our journey.
